Professional background

Cindy has been a medical editor since 1990. She has worked at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, two consulting firms in Washington, DC (working on contracts for the NIH and AHRQ), and Baylor Dallas. She also spent several years working for nonmedical publishing companies, producing both scholarly and popular books. For the past 10 years at Baylor Dallas, she has served as managing editor of a medical journal and has provided writing and editing services to physicians and hospital departments.
