background
Anita Frijhoff changed careers from bench scientist to writer/editor in 2001. At the Smithville campus of The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, she wrote about cancer research, education, and prevention. She also wrote and edited grant proposals, prepared presentations, created figures, and designed Web sites. Her biggest challenge was managing the production of an electronic atlas on mouse histology (for a demo, see www.histopages.com). Since January 2006, she has been a freelance, editing and writing manuscripts on all aspects of cancer research.
